INGREDIENTS


  • 2 large eggplants, sliced
  • 500g ground beef (or lamb, your choice)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups canned tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup bĂ©chamel sauce

INSTRUCTIONS


1.Slice the eggplants and grill or fry them until golden brown.

2. Cook the onion in a pan, then add the ground meat and brown it well.

3. Stir in the canned tomatoes and let the sauce simmer for 15 minutes.

4. In a baking dish, layer the eggplants, followed by the meaty sauce, and top with béchamel.

5. Bake in the oven at 180°C (350°F) for 30 minutes until golden and bubbly.

6. Slice and serve like you’re dining in a Greek taverna. Enjoy!
