The Story of Olive Reed

Olive Reed was born in Santa Barbara, California, where the sun kisses the coast and the air is filled with the scent of sea and citrus.

She grew up surrounded by the vibrant colors of farmers’ markets and the traditional recipes passed down from her Sicilian grandmother, discovering a deep love for cooking from a young age.

Every summer, her family would return to Italy, to a small village near Syracuse, where Olive learned to make fresh pasta by hand, to recognize quality olive oil by its aroma, and to respect the seasonality of ingredients.

After high school, she decided to follow her passion and moved to Rome to attend a prestigious culinary school, immersing herself completely in the Mediterranean culinary culture.

There, she refined her technical skills and developed a simple yet elegant approach to cooking: highlighting each ingredient without overwhelming it.

After years spent in professional kitchens, hidden trattorias, and traveling through Greece, Spain, and southern Italy, Olive chose to share her vision with the world — a fresh, colorful, and nourishing take on Mediterranean cuisine, created for those who want to eat healthy without giving up on flavor.

Today, Olive lives between Italy and California, and through her recipes, she brings into thousands of homes the scent of rosemary, the sweetness of summer tomatoes, and the lightness of a way of eating that nurtures both body and soul.
